New Automated Powder Coating Line Doubles Frame Output
Seven-stage pre-treatment plus automatic reciprocating spray guns. Daily frame capacity rises from 1,200 to 2,400 pieces.
Our new powder coating line entered operation this month after a CNY 3.2 million investment. The line uses seven-stage pre-treatment — degreasing, two rinses, phosphating, two more rinses and a final demineralised water rinse — which gives markedly better coating adhesion than the three-stage process it replaces.
Coating is applied by automatic reciprocating spray guns with manual touch-up stations at each end, and the curing oven holds 200 °C for a controlled 15-minute cycle. Salt-spray testing on production samples now reaches 500 hours before red rust appears, against 300 hours previously.
For customers this means shorter lead times during peak season and better paint durability in humid and coastal markets. Daily frame capacity has risen from 1,200 to 2,400 pieces, and we can now accept colour changeovers twice per day instead of once.
